At NewRidge Refinishing Group, we want you to be as informed as possible before making a decision. That’s why we’ve created the Price Guide below. Using this guide, you can see ballpark prices for some of our popular projects. This ensures ZERO surprises when it comes to the cost of your project.

Important Information Regarding This Price Guide:

  • Stair projects can contain many variables. Depending on the type of project and the amount of work, prices may be higher or lower in some cases.
  • Labour jobs one day or fewer (such as repairs and installs) start at $750 + HST; Refinishing work starts around $1,500 + HST.

  • Floor Refinishing (400 SF)

    $2,500-4,000 + HST

    Cost will vary depending on whether repairs are required, the layout of the area, whether you want a natural finish or stain colour application, and the type of wood involved.

  • Floor Refinishing (1,000 SF)

    $6,000-9,000 + HST

    Cost will vary depending on whether repairs are required, the layout of the area, whether you want a natural finish or stain colour application, and the type of wood involved.

  • Standard Floor Installation (500 SF)

    $3,000-5,000 + HST

    This includes fastening down of existing subfloor, transition and trim installation, removal/disposal of existing carpet and hardwood. This price does NOT include the hardwood material.

  • Standard Floor Installation (500 SF)

    $3,000-5,000 + HST

    This includes fastening down of existing subfloor, transition and trim installation, removal/disposal of existing carpet and hardwood. This price does NOT include the hardwood material.

  • Standard Staircase Refinish (Two-Tone Finish)

    $7,000-10,000 + HST

    Price Includes The Following:

    Painted white risers and stringers
    – 12-16 steps
    – 20-30 FT handrail
    – 5-20 FT Nosing

    Stair Risers & Stringers (side walls) painted white

    Up to 50 New White Pickets, Metal Pickets, or Unfinished Pickets including the Stain and Urethane Finish

    1-4 Newell (aka End) Posts

  • Staircase Refinish With Custom-Fit Solid Red Oak Stair Treads (Two Tone)

    $10,000-15,000 + HST

    This includes fastening down of existing subfloor, transition and trim installation, removal/disposal of existing carpet and hardwood. This price does NOT include the hardwood material.

  • Standard Staircase Refinish (Two-Tone Finish)

    $8,000-12,000 + HST

    Price Includes The Following:

    One-Color Staining
    – 12-16 Stair Treads
    – 13-18 Stair Risers, Re-Veneered and Stained
    – 20-30 FT Handrail
    – 5-20 FT Nosing

    Stringers (side walls) – Either Re-Veneered & Stained or Sanded & Refinished

    Re-Veneering stringers can create excess costs

    Up to 50 New White Pickets, Metal Pickets, or Unfinished Pickets including the Stain and Urethane Finish
