Installation

Hardwood Floors & Stairs Installation

We install new floors that look absolutely stunning. But it’s the prep work we do that makes your beautiful new floors stay that way.

Even though prep work is one of the most critical aspects of floor installation, it is also (unfortunately) the step contractors most often overlook. A poorly prepared floor will lead to squeaking, uneven surfaces, and excess expansion and contraction (which cause gaps between the floorboards).

We think that’s unacceptable. We perform all of the proper prep work to ensure your floors look and function superbly. Prior to installation, our master craftsmen level your floors, prepare the wall mouldings, secure the subfloor (to reduce squeaking), and more. This ensures the best looking AND longest lasting floors. Period.

Floor and Stair installation is an intricate project that requires a skilled professional. Whether you want to completely replace your old surface or overlay your existing steps with new material, we can provide world-class craftsmanship and a low-stress experience.

We strictly adhere to manufacturer specifications and building codes to ensure your staircase lasts for decades… and beyond.

Refinishing

Hardwood Floors & Stairs Refinishing

If you want to restore your hardwood floors or stairs to their original beauty—without the heavy cost and inconvenience of replacing them—a refinish from NewRidge Refinishing Group is exactly what you need.

A refinish is the perfect project if your wood floors or stairs have great “bones” and need a touch up. Refinishing removes light to medium scratches and restores that beautiful original elegant sheen.

Surface finishes: which are blends of synthetic resins, are popular because they are durable, water-resistant, and require minimal maintenance. These finishes most often are referred to as urethanes or polyurethanes.

Oil-based finishes: Ultra-durable, oil-based finishes which appear amber in color. They have a moderate odor when applied, and will dry in about eight hours.

Water-based finishes: Ultra-durable, water-based finishes which appear clear in colour. They have a minimal odour when applied, and will dry in about two to four hours.

Penetrating and hardening oils: Usually made of tung oils, linseed oils, or other natural oils, along with blends of additional additives that can assist in drying and hardness.

Repair

Professional Buffing & Coating

Your hardwood floors have many enemies. That’s what makes it so difficult to maintain them, retain their shine, and keep them scratch free.

The good news is if you’re wood floors are dull and have only minor scratches, you most likely do NOT have to spend money on a full refinish—a buffing & recoating is the perfect solution.

Buffing & recoating is less intensive and costly than a refinish job because it involves only the upper-layer finish. It removes minor scrapes, scratches, and scuffs to restore that “newly installed” sheen to your hardwood floors. It’s also extremely convenient because it can be done in one day with practically zero dust or mess.

Our team of buffing & recoating specialists have decades of experience and will ensure your project is done on time, on budget, and to your 100% satisfaction.
